UCI is a trade association with these Objectives:
	To promote the construction of union built homes in Southern Illinois
	To serve the common interests of its members, who are union residential contractors and subcontractors, construction material and service suppliers, and associated business entities in southwestern Illinois

There are 3 Categories of UCI Membership:

Contractor Member: A sole proprietorship, partnership, or corporation that:
	is engaged in the business of a residential construction contractor or subcontractor
	has been in business for at least 3 continuous years at the time of application (unless such 3 year qualification is waived by vote of the Board)
	is a union contractor that is signatory to, or has agreed to be bound by, the current master collective bargaining agreement or prevailing agreements with the Carpenter’s Union District Council of Greater St. Louis for all construction site labor performed by tradesmen employed by the Contractor Member at construction job sites located is southwestern Illinois
	is sponsored for membership by a current UCI member in good standing
	agrees to abide by the current Bylaws of the association

Material Supplier Member: A sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation that:
	is engaged in the business of selling, leasing, brokering, delivery, or otherwise supplying, providing, hauling, or delivering equipment, tools, materials, goods, or services to the residential construction industry
	has been in business for at least 3 continuous years at the time of application (unless such 3 year qualification is waived by vote of the Board)
	is sponsored for membership by a current UCI member in good standing
	agrees to abide by the current Bylaws of the Association

Associate Member: A sole proprietorship, partnership, or corporation that:
	has provided professional services to the residential construction industry for at least 3 continuous years, or is otherwise engaged in commerce with the industry
	is sponsored for membership by a current UCI member in good standing
	agrees to abide by the current Bylaws of the Association
